Judith Glynn
Travel Writer and more....

After 24 years of living in the world's greatest city, I'm certainly a New Yorker. But my roots and most of my family are in Rhode Island. As a writer, I've been at that craft for many years, returning to travel writing most often as the  subject. Spain is my favorite place, but I'm on the road again looking for more of them. And there's a novel in the works. I'll share its progress here as it nears completion.

As an entrepreneur, I've been at that much longer, having worked at many jobs -- from temp secretary to creating my own company. Manhattan Getaways rents short-term furnished rooms and private apartments to NYC's visitors.

Life is grand. I'm pleased to share some of mine on these pages.

Are you or someone you know looking for an alternative to a New York City hotel stay? My agency can help. More here:

Life as a freelance travel writer doesn't get any better than my recent, but brief, trip to Turks & Caicos. This group of tiny islands and quays is located 90 miles south of Miami. With no traffic lights, only five ATMs, one IGA supermarket and driving on the left-hand side of the road, the message here is about a quiet elegance, minus bling and hoopla.I was the guest of The Sands at Grace Bay, which is a beachfront resort located on a 12-mile stretch of calm beauty surrounded by beautiful reefs teeming with fish, magnificent coral and even exotic medium turtles.

Bring lots of money if you go since this spot is a second home to travelers with deep pockets. However, there are some bargains, and The Sands is one of them with its self-catering condos for rent. You can read the article I wrote for destination specialists and Travel World News by clicking here
